I am sorry Lord, I do not mean to be rebellious!

As a young women in this day and age it is so easy to slip into the wyles of the world......
To know which church is correct, in its doctrine, in the hearts of the people, to seek and find the Lord and grow with in its walls....
To know what clothing is appropriate, to wear make up or not, wear jewelery or not, courting vs dating....It is a confusing place out there!
What I hear the most from young and older ladies alike is, "I just don't see God moving, I don't hear His voice like the others to lead to guide.....I Do Not!"
Most of which, are from extremely liberal churches which I have to admit are very confusing places. There is not strict dress code, its ok to gamble, its ok to date giving your hearts away....I am not speaking about every other church, Just the one's I have attended! Then I came to a church whom God spoke to me and there led me to present day. It makes such a difference how your attitude is, how you understand, how open you are to the Heavely Father by what you read.....If you read works that have had context changed; then your view on clothing, marriage, all else with be drastically different for some things because the meanings are different....
What I have expierenced in the last year; is a personal, all consuming love, all consuming admiration, an unexplained peace, a presence that with stands it all! The Lord and I have met, we have talked, we have gotten to know eachother better.....Want to know how?
I came to Him. I read His word. I was still. I was silent. I was with meek and quiet spirit. The Lord showed me how to be a wife, mother, friend, confidant, lover, disiplinarion, teacher, manager of home, and a Help Meet! Well the Lord is not done with Me, I will continue to grow every day as I walk with the Spirit hand in Hand. Learning, being guided, molded, made anew...
Now you ask what has all of this got to do with Modestly dressing......
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
~Proverbs 86:11~

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him, an dhe shall direct thy paths. ~Proverbs 3:5,6~

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
~Psalm 32:8~

When you read the story of Adam and Eve, you find that they were blissfully happy in the Garden of Eden, (and were completely naked). Prior to the Fall of Eve and the Adam, they had no reason to feel ashamed or bashful or have any fear of their own bodies....Post fall, they were afraid.....And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden....

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. Genensis 3: 8, 10~

So forever we must clothe ourselves to cover up the sin that came way back from the Fall of Adam and Eve. It is an interesting view. Most women in secular and christian societies alike for some reason or another are never satisfied with their bodies, hiding, covering or fixing their abnormalities, faults, blemishes ect. Yet all the while exposing body parts to exsensuate what they feel will get the most attention, distracting viewers from their inabitions, or faults as they see fit. When you read the Word of God, you grow and learn, and begin to understand why God calls Christian women to be set apart, to be unique, to be different! God chose women to dress modestly, act modestly and have their entire beings to be modest simply because He knows where the world is going, and he wants to perserve His ways. Are we going to look the other way when God gives a direct commandment. Are we going to say, "But Lord, every body is wearing it even the Pastor's wife, Its not the same times anymore Lord, you are telling me to live in a completley different era.!" Stamp feet, pout, cry out!

When you come to the Lord, he will give you the understanding that you need, He will give you the wisdom, the strength to become what you were meant to be. How do you think you will accomplish all of it, if you are attempting to do it in your own Will and not of the Lord. You are not to go out and be of the World, you are called to dwell in the World but not be corrupted by the things in the World because they will pass away and be gone, your rewards in Heaven will last an eternity!
The World is ever changing, The Lords commandments, His word, He is unchanging. You are called to be a woman, to be soft, meek, kind hearted, caring, loving, strong, courageous, most of all you are called to not create lust, Now how do you go about that if you are wearing mini skirts where if you sit down your undergarments are showing, tops that if you move in the correct fashion everyone including the dog half a mile away gets to sneek a peek at your flesh. How are we to obey the Lord, when wearing garments intended for a man. How can you profess to be following the Lord, when you break His commandments?

I don't know about you, But when I get to Heaven I want/yearn to look unto Jesus and feel no shame, no guilt, no fear! I want to bask in the awe of the Lord, knowing that I did all that I could to walk in the way He intended me to walk.

I pray that all of my sisters in Christ grow, learn, yearn to please the Lord and not the Worlds ways.

Thank you for Reading,
With Him all is possible,
Stacey
