Love, Modesty and the Wiles of the Devil.....

Love is an action word. Love is in the way someone puts others above all else. Their Selfish desires fall to the way side and stay still. The Lord gives us clear and precise examples of what love was created for.

"Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." ~ Romans 13:10~

Colossians 3:12-17

 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

The enemy teaches man about the fleshy, selfish love that our society is immersed in nowadays. The enemy is crafty and decieves each of us if we let him.
"4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" ~ 2 Timothy 3:4~
"24And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them." ~Matthew 4:24~
"6Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner." Proverbs 13:6~

Did you know that you are able to cast out the demons that haunt over and hover us in our day to day comings and goings. Did you know that there are ways we can thwart him off and rebuke his lies?
"
20And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
~Romans 16:20~

"8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:" John 16:8~

20So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed ~Acts 19:20~

10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
~Matthew 4:10~

You see this is why it is so important for us as women, as daughters of Christ to read and memorize the scriptures as it is written. When we hide the word of the Lord in our hearts we fill it up so that the Enemy has no room to get in. Which also means he has no way of getting to you, enticing you and fooling you into believing his ways are the ways in which you shall go.
You see, with every good intention man falls into the ploys of the Enemy in their walk with Christ and the Enemy fools us to believing that we are doing it in the name of God.
The more you know the WORD the less likely of Satan re wording, re organizing, re facing the Truth and the less likely you will fall into his crafty games of selfishness, lust, perversion, un healthness!

We as women seek God so passionatley, so enthusiastically that the enemy can utilize this and fool us into believing that we can move out of our God created roles as women and still be happy, be successful be all in one. God created us for a reason and a purpose, in order for us to truly know what that is we must know what He says. To do this we must read, memorize and be able to fellowship with others and sharpen ourselves in knowing why, how and where in the Bible we live our lives. You are a testimony, every minute, every second, every word, every action, every article of clothing is your testimony.

Are you being led by the flesh in your life? or Are you being led by God?
Are you ready to give it all up for God. I mean literally everything! Are you willing to sacrifice your lifestyle, your home, your clothing, your family for God......? What is the meaning of you being on this path to Heaven? Start with Genesis 1:1 and end in Revelation22:21. Know why wearing skirts is what the Lord expects, created us to be! Know why usurping your husbands authority is not what we were created for! Know the anwsers in which you seek. There is no greater self help book that Gods infaillable word...The Bible!

Do not bedecieved my this new generations thoughts and opinions of modesty! Do not be decieved by this new generations idea of how the "family" works more efficiently!
Seek wisdom in the bosom of the Lord.

Thank you for reading,
God Bless!
In Him all is possible,

Worldly Distractions. A Post for Teens.

We have all been there. Walking through a store, Flipping through a magazine, Then you see it!
But what? what do you see that distracts you? could it be something you cannot wear? something you wish you could? in the world today we have that problem. Distractions from the world, though we find it hard, we stay strong. As Striving (to be) Godly Young Ladies and Ladies. We have that distraction of pretty patterns a little bit shorter (not mini skirt) of skirts or dresses.

We all have that problem, going into a store and being discouraged, asking yourself "why cant I find anything?"

There is nothing wrong with you of course, it is what is wrong with the world, what we have come to with providing teens with little rags of clothing with sparkles and sequins on it and calling it clothing, calling it trendy, fashionable, the "IT" item of clothing, a must have. These my fellow readers are why we cannot go into stores and find something, yes sometimes in different stores, and yes  in   different parts of the country you can find nice clothing. That is for the wrong price.

Problem: When you can go to a store and get a huge shopping bags for under $150 of the in clothing, but to buy long skirts or modest shirts. You wouldn't even get a half a huge shopping bag....

Sadly some young ladies (No I'm not pointing names) compromise when going to the store or the mall.
Some sadly go and compromise just a little "Oh that skirt is a little short I'll just put some leggings under it" or "that shirt is a bit sheer, but it's okay no one will notice, if I only wear it on certain days"

If it's wrong for your mother it's wrong for you!
Yes, I just said that, you should be able to wear anything your mother wears, not size wise or anything like that, but I'm talking about, those shorter skirts that go to your knees, and those dresses that go to your knees and beyond. Do you think your mother should wear them? Of course not! If you are dressing modest, of course Your mother should be able to wear anything you do correct?

  • Sheer Shirts.
  • Tight Shirts.
  • Skirts that hug the knees.
  • Skirts above the knees.

Skirts That hug the knees....Ah yes, they modest christian young ladies cry for freedom, for normal-ess, and for trendiness. "Maybe no one will think I'm a freak if I dress in this short of a skirt, I can still wear it and be modest." Wrong.

Let me ask you something. Do you really want to be sitting down having to tug at your skirts? what about boys and young men, and ALSO older men as well, looking at your legs?!?! To me that is disgusting, You cannot be Modest and Modern there is no sentence that should ever have those to words right next to each other. Would you really like Men lusting after you?

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matthew 5:28

Let's not forget.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,

that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 6:12

What ladies are doing is lusting after the worldly clothing, imagine if we could buy beautiful dresses and skirts and stores were filled only with dresses and skirts? "Wonderland" right?
Well ladies we cannot have that. The world is getting it's way with sin, provoking the minds of modest young christian shoppers, filling the isles with immodest wear.

Let me tell you something it is better to not buy anything at a store then to waste money and buy a few things, that should not have been bought, I'm not judging you, I'm speaking the clear, the obvious, the truth.
Not to hurt you, not to offend you. To help you!

I'm speaking from a loving point to you, I know what it is like to go into the store and find nothing but clothing I cannot wear, its sad. I want to make a point, I want to stretch the point of not buying something, if its not modest.

I know it will be hard, especially for those of you that are just starting out to wear skirts and dresses. People will look at you, some will give smiles and some will give bad looks, some will be offended, but my advice to you is to stay strong in the Lord. You are supposed to be looking to please the Lord correct? You don't need to please anyone, at your age unmarried. The only one you should be looking to please is the Lord!

You need to be pleasing the Lord, not Men. Do not live for men, live for God. This life is going to get you down, Stay Strong.

This Post is dedicated to all the girls that have trouble finding modest clothing, to all the girls that are new to wearing dresses and skirts only.

Blessings,
Katie

Day 29-30 A few verses of Thankfulness.

Psalm 95:1-6

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Psalm 107

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

1 Chronicles 29:11-13

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name."

I'm thankful For my Lord my Saviour who saved me by grace.

Day 28! My Lord Fainteth Not! :-)

I'm thankful for my family, and close friends, in this time of gratitude. I left mine hands up and praise my Lord for all he has given me!

Which reminds me of a Psalm.

Psalm 121

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Isaiah 40:28-31

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Day 19.

As I get ready for church, I think to myself.

What is going to church? it is not about fellowship, or about getting dressed up, (though we really should)
It's about getting into God's word learning of new things, new lessons, new trials set before us.
Prayer, is something so very important to me. You cannot just pray, of course we have to be into God's word to fully get something (something you maybe didn't understand before.)

I'm Thankful for Church. :-)

What Are you thankful for?

Day 18 When You Look out Your Window What Do You See?

But as I end this post, I want to know, when you look outside your window, what do you see?
I see the beauty God has provided for me and everyone to see.

Thankful For Those Who Are Serving.

Picture by Kass Photography. Please do not take without permission.

Today, I am thankful for our brave soldiers that are fighting for our freedom. As I sit here in a desk chair, I sit here full of thankfulness and gratitude towards our brave hero's that fight day and night, that leave their families behind for sometimes several months on in.

What I am trying to say cannot be expressed, how could you or how do you express gratitude for that?

If your reading this and you know of someone in our armed forces someone such as a family member or a friend, take a moment to pray for them, be thankful not only today for our soldiers but everyday they risk their lives.

A special thank you to our soldiers and their families. A moment of remembrance for the ones we have lost after or in the battle. You are not forgotten.

Blessings,
Katie

Content In Christ. Part 1

Are you Content in Christ? many of you would say "Of Course" "Yes!!" or something like that, but I want to take you deeper into that question.

The word "Content" looked up in the Websters 1828
CONTENT, a. [L., to be held; to hold.] Literally, held, contained within limits; hence, quiet; not disturbed; having a mind at peace; easy; satisfied, so as not to repine, object, or oppose.

CONTENT, v.t.

1. To satisfy the mind; to make quiet, so as to stop complaint or opposition; to appease; to make easy in any situation; used chiefly with the reciprocal pronoun.

Do not content yourselves with obscure and confused ideas, where clearer are to be obtained.

Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas. Mark 15.

2. To please or gratify.

It doth much content me, to hear him so inclined.

Are you satisfied? here are a few verses I have found.
Philippians 4:11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

1 Timothy 6:8
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

3 John 1:10
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

We have to ask ourselves a personal question, and be honest with ourselves, "am I content with Christ?"
If not we need to make it where we are. How do you go about doing that?
You always here, "you need to read your bible and pray" and that's all that is said? well, to be truthful that's what needs to happen, For the well being of you.

Part 2 Coming soon.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. ~James 1:12~

What happens then Lord, when my circumstances change....? What happens when you move me and I do not know where or how the Word lives in me.....? I can honestly admit that sometimes I am overwhelmed and exhausted. I can honestly admit that following you in the way you have shown is is not easy. It is so hard, sometimes I faulter from your way, when I want to fall to the wayside.....

Then Lord, in the quiet moments when I am still, when I am silent, when I am in the middle of the depth of the enemies game of sorrow....

You come to me. You fill me with your love. You reward me for the choices I have made. Even when I feel the enemies darkness envelope me and covers me. It is like when I get to the bottom of what I think is never ending darkness you open the clouds and through the haze a ray of light comes through. This light is brighter than any light my eyes have seen. This light is so warm, but not a burn, a warmth that melts me from the depths of my soul and fills my earthly body in every inche!

You know me. You love me. You carry me when I am unable to go on.

Being a daughter of Christ is not easy but it is what you command. Being a lady of Christ is what we are called to do...

But in the world we live in it is so hard, the persecution is not what I can handle, the strength of me alone is not good enough.

This world that I live in is cruel and mean, it is a world where the enemie is creating his realm. I feel that it is getting worse and worse...

Thankfully, I do not live, walk, talk, dress, parent, be a wife, a friend, a mentor, a woman who must work for her family to eat, a mother, a daughter, a granddaughter, a neice, a cousin, a woman bymyself.

Thankfully, of these things I must, have to , want to , need to do, I do with your hand on my life. I do these with you carry the real heaviness that I will not know of until I meet with You. I do these things for the love of You. I do these things for the Heavenly Home. I do these things for The Lord my God whom shed His very own for my Salvation.

Yes, modesty is not easy! Yes, living Your Word is not easy! Yes, walking side by side with those hate You, is not easy!

Yes, I will be a modesty woman, raise my family in Your word, walk side by side with those who Hate you!

Because I am called to go out into the world and be Your Light. And if I am able to give one person or thousands Your love and they share it with others then I am doing Your work.

I am blessed to be persecuted. I am blessed to be hated. I am blessed to be in hardship. I am blessed to be a daughter of Christ.

“In prayer, something like an echo takes place. When you strike a note on the piano, corresponding strings in all the other pianos in the room start to vibrate. It is just the same when we express a pure wish in our ardent prayers: all around us we mobilize angels who are inspired by the same wish.” —Richard Wurmbrand

Thank you for joining me in my journey with the Lord,

In Him all is possible,

Stacey
