What does Modesty mean to you, to your husband, to your children to your family, to your coworkers, and what does Modesty mean to God?
In todays world there are so many distinctions, viewpoints, opinions, changed minds, hardened hearts, pressures and fear. Did you know that God loves you, God wants you to be like Him, God calls you home to love you. How well do you know God?
When I look around at people whom critisize me and my family for our Modesty, Religion, Thoughts and actions, and yes even our dedication to the Lord; it is so hard not to retaliate, to get angry, tell them to take a picture it lasts much longer. I don't know about you but it is so hard to be a daughter of Christ sometimes. Its hard to hold your head high, to walk in the Spirit, to fight against the fleshy desires, to give all to God and to walk in His will.
I am finding the more I get to know, to study, to talk, to seek, to wait, to let go and let God; I find that it does get a little bit easier to be the Child God has created us to be. I would like you to start your journey and let God show you what Modesty is about. Utilize tools such as our blog to give you encouragement, knowledge, insight and friendship. Education is our best tool to fight the spiritual war that rages on. First, we must hide the Word of our Lord in our hearts, for His word is unchanging, His love is never ending, His Will is perfect and we must learn what it is that the Lord wants us to do. Second, we must research and educate ourselves with the knowledge of the meanings, definitions, ect on what modesty means to us.
Lets Start......

A garment worn by men, covering the hips and thighs. It is now a close garment; but the word formerly was used for a loose garment, now called trowsers, laxoe braccoe.

The more we know the better equiped we are! The better ability to know false teachings, prophets and "messagers of God" for who they really are. We need to be the one's to ensure we are strong enough and wise to know the difference of God and those who wish us harm.
Modesty:
That lowly temper which accompanies a moderate estimate of one's own worth and importance,. This temper when natural, springs in some measure from timidity, and in young and inexperienced persons, is allied to bashfulness and diffidence. In persons who have seen the world, and lost thier natural timidity, modesty springs no less from principle than from feeling, and is manifested by retiring, unobtrusive manners, assuming les to itself rhan others are willing to yeild, and conceding to others all due honor and respect, or even more than they expect or require.
Modesty, as an act or series of acts, consists in humble, unobtrusive deportment, as opposed to extreme boldness, forwardness, arrogance, presumption, audacity or impudence. Thus we say, the petitioner urged his claims with modesty; the speaker addressedthe audience with modesty.
Moderation; decency.
In females, modesty has the like character as in males; but the word is used also as a synonymous with chastity, or purity, of manners. In this sense, modesty results from purity of mind, or from the fear of disgrace and ignominy fortified by eduaction and principle. Unaffected modesty is the sweetest charm of female excellence, the richest gem in the diadem fo their honor.
Words to ponder:
- one's own worth
- lost their natural timidity
- conceding to others all due honor and respect
- moderation
- decency
- chastity
- purity
- fear of disgrace
What does this mean for you, for your daughters, for your sons, for your husband and for your extended families?
When you ponder, pray, read scriptures and talk to God you will know and understand and want to share your knowledge. Remember only you have to ATONE for your actions and only YOU can truly understand what you will be facing at the Judgement seat of Christ. What have you done for heavens sake today.....One person makes the world of difference....Let us Arm ourselves with the Armour of God!
