Do we dress to Glorify God?

Do you dress to Glorify God or yourself? to set yourself apart from the world, or be with it, do you live for God or live for the flesh?......

it is our duty to Glorify God, to set yourself apart from the world in appearance and actions, to live for God, everyday of your life.

though we are all sinners, even I. we have to at least strive to please and glorify God daily, in everything we do, it's hard to sometimes, but possible. do you want to know how? Through God.

we are to show example to everyone in our appearance and actions, that means with how we act. though sometimes its so hard not to say something to someone. I always try to remember this verse.

1 Peter 3:4   But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

 

too many cases of today you will find ladies dressing on "Modern day/trendy so called modest" clothing, 

FACT: By dressing the way you do, low cut shirt, tight skirt, mini skirt, mini dress, any of those things and more, you are doing many things actually hurting yourself.

you are not gaining respect, in fact you are losing it, from men and women. when you parade around town and all over the stores in skimpy dresses skirts and those dreadful shorts, you are putting a sign across your body, saying "I don't care what people think" showing you clearly do not respect yourselves enough to dress modestly, to glorify God. your losing your testimony.

I recently found a verse I would like to share with you ladies, 1 Peter 3:14-15

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 

 

Dear sister, I hope that if someone comes up to you, it wont be to ask you to put some extra clothing on. but to ask you where you go to church? where did you get your modest dress? why do you dress like that?

no person will come up to you, when you are dressed with a dress that comes to your knee's or a bit lower, or a skirt that goes to that length for that matter. because to them, you are just like them, you are apart of the worldly ways, the worldly appearance, I don't know about you, but I don't want to be of worldly appearance I want to be of Modest God honoring appearance.

I want to be set apart from the world. Do you?

I want to live for God, in every way possible, to spread the word of what he has done for me, and if I'm not in Modest clothing how can I do that?
