Being Modest Through Christ.

Ladies, we live in a world, where many women, and sadly even younger girls, dress inappropriately, to school and in public, you may say "that's terrible, they should put some clothes on"

But do you ever ask yourself, do they know any better? have they ever been taught?
are they having emotional problems? do they dress like this for the attention they don't get normally?
we Tend to judge to quickly to actually see beyond the book cover, then ladies, their are the young girls and women alike, who know what they are wearing, don't care how they have been taught, and know better, the young girls, that are hiding emotional problems, and whether they dress like that for attention or not, it doesn't matter.

Ladies need to stand up, for a rightful cause, stand up to this so called "fashion" of tank tops and short skirts and shorts, cleavage baring blouses and "hip clothing" I don't care what's "in" or what's considered old fashioned, I dress not to say "I'm modest" but to tell myself, "I'm pleasing the Lord with all my heart" and ladies, by no means is that bragging,
I do it because I want to strive to be pleasing God, and I want to strive to let others see Christ in me.

after all, ladies, we should strive, but that's my opinion, I'm not throwing it at you.

Defenceless....
Sometimes we all feel that way, as if everyone is bullying at you, telling you that your going to (hades) if you wear pants, what can you say? how can you defend yourself? your Defenceless.

I believe in my opinion, that it is YOUR  conviction, on what you wear.
Yours alone, people can sometimes, dig it and stab it into you about the skirts and pants argument.
But the only one that can change your mind, is God.

Yes Ladies it's as simple as that, we can write these blogs, but it most likely will not change it, I myself, read a blog post about wearing pants, and I was convicted over that, which is why when I say, when Conviction gets you, your done.

Sister, if you are struggling, with the choice of what to wear, if you are caught between being cool or ugly, if your afraid people will look at you differently, please, take time to ask yourself this question, "is this what God wants?" or is it "what you and everyone else want." sometimes what seems good in our eyes, isn't really all that good, we are just too blind too see at the moment.

I pray that if you are having those struggles that God helps you, and gives you an answer to the questions and pleads you have been praying for or about. I pray he lays the right choice on your heart, and that it brings you closer to him, that when you walk down the street or through a store, that people see Christ in you.

I Love you all dearly. Thank you for reading.

In His Honor.

Bring Back REAL women.

Today ladies we wonder down one of life's many paths, so sit down relax, get your coffee or tea and enjoy.
This is pointed and aimed at younger girls and teenagers. but if it is useful to other ladies so be it,

This is in no way judging you, or saying you are wrong, and I hope I don't come off across as mean,
Shall we start?

Gone are the days of home-makers, a young lady wanting/waiting to be a home-maker, taking care of the home, homeschooling her children raising them, cooking, cleaning, doing house chores, having tea, talking with God,
how does that sound to you? it sounds pretty good to me! :-)

I'm not married yet ladies, so don't start in on the "well your married that's what you do" it is not on the account of which my parents want, but the account on which the Lord wants, and with my conviction I shall be doing what was said above when I become a wife to the man God has provided in his will.

If you think I'm crazy, press the X on the top right hand corner of the page, if not continue reading,:-)

Lets bring back real women,

The ones that have grace,
The ones that dress like ladies,
The ones that want to be women and know they are,
The ones that don't want to be equal to men and don't want to be head of the house,
The ones that don't usurp the mans authority,
and
The ones that Love God for real,
Then the ones that know a man should preach.

Lets bring back women of faith and femininity, not feminism, showing the world that you are not of it, or like it, sharing the word of God with other young ladies that do not know it,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At first I wanted to write this about what home-makers should be or should strive to be, but then God led me to write about bringing back real women,

we go through those moments everyday, the moments in which sadly we walk through the store and it is filled with girls with short shorts, painted on pants, and "strange" men, but what do we do? it's disturbing and uncomfortable for sure, but do you do anything? did you show your love for God to them? maybe give them a track?

the act of kindness goes a long way with people that are lost, and do not know any better, I know several ladies that dress with short shorts and tank tops, because sadly they have nothing else to wear, and have not been taught any other way.

I know when I wore pants (long time ago) I know ladies must have looked at me weird too.
unfortunately I did not know better, I felt that it was not wrong or right,

But one thing was always for sure, I ALWAYS, wore skirts and dresses that were appropriate to church. when I used to wear pants,
I wore baggy pants, that made me look bigger then I actually was, when you go through puberty you gain wait and your body changes,
I did not like wear short shorts or shorts for that matter ever, If I did wear tank tops, I  Only wore tank tops to bed, and have never even tried on a halter top.

But still I was convicted, and I became for curious in Modesty, now I cannot wear pants or culottes, I feel that they are pants, I feel that I'm wear men's clothing.

women back in the old days always wore dresses, and white button-down shirts with skirts, you see in some ads or movies ladies from the 40's and 50's wearing dresses, that was before pants and Hollywood really got to women, and so now we are here, 2010 and women and young ladies dress as men and men even dress in dresses, When God said it is an abomination (Deut 22:5) he meant it, men and women are causing confusion upon gender,

Culottes, to me are pants, that of course is just me, Culottes were originally knee high breeches, for military wear in the 19th century, now just as the excuse of "but these aren't men's pants they are women's pants" it's "culottes?? on men??! DISGUSTING"

sadly soon, it will be "Men in pants?? that's disgusting!! pants are for women" the world is causing confusion.

So ladies lets bring back real women, put on a dress or a skirt (No minis has to go below knee) and be feminine, cook a little, sew a little, bake some cookies, feel like a women or young lady while sweeping or vacuuming.

Bring it on back to Proverbs 31 be a Virtuous woman, be a Home-maker, and if your not married, be a stay at home daughter! :-)

Thank You For reading!

How is your life today? What are you trying to Change today?

As Christians; meaning as followers of Christ, as daughters of God almighty, heavenly children walking washed in the blood of the lamb, how is your day going?

How much strength do you have on your meter today?

Are you trying to Change something in your life today with frustrating results?

May I ask, "Where do you get your strength from? Do you know what kind of strength you have? Is this strength that your measuring a physical strength?"

When you walk in the pathway of Jesus Christ, you are to walk an uncompromising, unfailing, unabashed, wonderfuly loved, amazingly cared for, carried when needed, engulfed in light and required to share His love, life, everything. This is not easy............

First, it starts in your heart:
  • inside your heart must transform
  • inside your mind must reform
  • old ways of the world must slowly fade
  • the spiritual likeness of Christ must start inside and eminate through to the outside of your being

Second, it shows on yourself, outside of your body:

  • your clothing, shoes, makeup/no makeup, hair (including length, coloured or not coloured, style, accessories)
  • your accessories, neclaces, earrings, watches, buttons
  • your stature, how you hold yourself, how you walk
  • speech, how your speech is, swearing/no swearing, with/without ceasing, with/without thoughts, with/without merit,with/without the Lords guidance

Third, it shows on others:

  • how you treat your Husband
  • how you treat your children
  • how you treat you extended family
  • how you treat your coworkers
  • how you treat your teachers/classmates
  • how you treat people at the local grocery store, mall, pharmacy, parks ect.
  • how you treat people who cut you off when driving, walking
  • how you treat people who are homeless, in need, less than appealing
  • how you treat people with dissabilities
  • how you treat people who are a different race, enthniticty, colour, religion, beliefs within the same religion than yourself

Finaly, you find that you must stand up for all of this and more....

  • stand up for your beliefs
  • stand up for Jesus Christ
  • stand up for the Bible that is most accurate (my own opinion KJV)
  • stand up for the people that preach the Gospel from KJV and properly
  • stand up for the families in your church
  • stand up with or against those friends, family, communities, other churches, unbelievers, believers that try to corrupt your heart
  • stand up and fight in the spiritual fight, fighting principalities and not flesh
  • stand up for what is right, just and holy in the eyes of the Lord
  • stand up and against those trying to bring you down, trying to poision your mind and the mind of your immediate family
  • stand up for those who fearing standing
  • stand up for those who came before you and helped pave the way for you to walk with your head held high

WALK, TALK, BEHAVE LIKE THE DAUGHTER OF CHRIST THAT YOU ARE, WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, A SINNER IN NEED OF FORGIVENESS.....................

When you check your strength today, first go to the source of strength, the creator of all of your strength, the wonderful, beutiful Lord whom carries you when you need it the most. Seek Him in all that you do, first, foremost and always, then the strength that you require He will supply. For, you are His child, and you have put Him first!

"Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come......she looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness........Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised." ~Proverbs 31:25,27,30~

"Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upone eareth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the stregth of my heart, and my portion for ever....But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, tht I may declare all thy works." Psalm 73: 25, 26,28~

"For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." ~Psalm 75: 6-7~

"I AM HERE: I WILL MAKE YOU HOLY!"

Don't look for experts to coach you in how to make your life work before you follow elders who will lead you into My presence. *1*

If even in small ways you live to "fix your life" to arrange for your own pleasures on ways that violate holiness, your love for a better life now will eventually corrupt your love for Me! *2*

Today when your strength is low in your body, in your spirit, in your deepest of deep thoughts, look first unto the Lord, ask Him for the guidance needed, ask Him to fill you overflowing with the Holy Spirit; for this is the only strength you will ever need. For this is the strength above all strengths.

With prayers for you, my sisters in Christ for a walk with the Lord that is ever learning, ever convicting, ever personal, always lasting, always loving, always chastening, always constant, always inside and evident on your outsides. I pray for you heart, mind, souls, bodies and attitudes!

With Him all is possible,

Thanks for reading,

Stacey

I do not believe in the Version of Bible he uses but I do agree with how he is doing what he is doing and the beautiful letters from God! Remeber sometimes you must chew up the "meat" and spit out the bones. (bones being Dr. Crabb's version of Bible he believes in that I do not agree with)

Come meet some ladies...

Our appearance says something about us. What is yours saying? Check out this group of ladies and see if you find yourself amongst them.

1. Loud Linda- Linda is the life of the party. She loves to shop and loves to have outlandish clothes that capture every persons attention. She never walks in a room without being noticed because the colors are always bright and everything matches. Her jewelry is big and bold and when you see her your first thought is "WOW."

2. Frumpy Freda- Freda is the girl that says she doesn't care what anyone thinks about what she wears. She is comfortable after all. Her clothes are usually too big, overly baggy and if they match that is merely by accident. We're not sure if she brushes her hair with any regularity. When ask about it Freda will talk about her belief in modesty and Godliness, with a very pious attitude, of course.

3. Loose Lizzy- Look out cause here comes Lizzy. Husbands need to look the other way and small boys need to be sent to play. Lizzy's skirts are usually too tight and always too short. Her blouse is too tight, too low or both. Lizzy has it and doesn't mind flaunting it. The good Lord blessed her with a good figure, why should she hide it under a bushel?

4. Executive Emma- Oh Emma....she is the business, career woman in our group. Always in the business suits, tailored to fit just right. Her skirts are perfectly tailored to accentuate her curves, her jacket is also tailored to focus on the gentle curve of her hips yet all the while maintaining a business like look. Of course, Emma wear heels everywhere she goes and holds her head high. Emma is woman...hear her roar!

5. Borderline Bertha- Bertha could be skinny or fat. She doesn't necessarily do things on purpose to expose herself, she just doesn't do anything on purpose to NOT expose herself. Her tops may not be as low. Maybe her tops are only low when she leans over. And maybe her skirt is right on the border, until she bends over in a very unladylike manner. She walks right up to the line and stays there. She does after all want to be fashionable.

6. Tomboy Teresa- watch out when Teresa plays a game with the group. She may knock you over. She can usually be found in anything made of jean material and walking like a boy. Teresa would prefer to hang out with the guys instead of the girls. Wear something ladylike and maybe even pink? NEVER! Fix her hair? I don't think so. A ponytail is sufficient. And makeup will never touch her face. Too much bother. She is clean after all and why should anyone care what she looks like?

7. Modest Mary- Mary carries herself with grace and style. She can usually be found in a fashionably nice, feminine dress that doesn't call attention to one part of her, but to the entire picture. Depending on her age she may wear a bit of make up and perhaps a piece of jewelry, but never so much as to look "made up" or draw attention. Mary doesn't mind doing extra shopping to find things that fit right, are modest yet not frumpy. Her attitude is not one of power and boldness, but of meekness and gentleness. When you are with Mary you feel more calm and peaceful.

These are just a few of the possibilities. Did you find yourself among them? If you do, ask yourself is that the kind of message you want to send? Notice that it is not only about how these ladies dress, but it is an attitude they exude. How you dress will affect your attitude.

As I look back over my life I have seen different qualities from a few of these women at different times in my life. This is not something we settle once and never struggle with. The Christian life is a battle and we will face trials and temptations, pressures and struggles. We cannot do this alone. It is only by God's grace and strength that we can come out from among them and be holy, set apart unto our Lord.
God puts others in our lives to help strengthen us too.

My suggestion to you would be to not only ask yourself, but ask your husband, father or mother to give you an accountability check. We can all falter and slip and need others to come along side us and help us.

Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

You are loved dear sisters.

In Him who cannot fail, Michelle
