What is Modesty? Part 1

Ladies of today may think that dressing modesty is not showing anything that your mom or dad should see, or even your pastor, sadly enough, today it has gotten that bad.. bad enough that ladies wear pants to church, whats worse is that Our pastors wives are falling prey as well. a vast amount of people today are taking a stand, on Modesty, taking back femininity. what was once all ladies standards.


I want to challenge you to something, IF you are wearing pants I want you to think about it, are you happy with how you are treated and do you respect yourself? some ladies say pants are modest, the truth not my opinion, is that they are not ladies. argue all you want, but they aren't,
Deuteronomy 22:5 we have all heard it seen it or read it, The Woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a women's garment: for all who do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God,


Abomination? harsh? not in my opinion. Let's look up the word abomination shall we? Something abominable, extreme disgust and hatred: Loathing.

Pretty strong language. you may say the new sinners excuse, yeah but that's the old testament, this is modern day,

Leviticus 18:22 Thou Shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind" it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

"Apparel" Today is any piece of clothing, did you know that in the 1611 Oxford English Dictionary the word Apparel mean "Loose, long flowing garment"

"Dress" is a women's piece of clothing, consisting of a skirt and bodice, Ladies wore them well, and knew their place, until the 19th century Culottes came into the scene, Ladies started wearing them so they could ride astride on the horse, instead of side-saddle, originally Military wear for soldiers, the word culottes in french is panties, and is also known as undergarments, in the beginning of the 19th century they were called "knee-high breeches" Breeches are trousers and or pants, in Leviticus 6:10 God created Breeches for the Priests. "and the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the alter, and he shall put them beside the alter"

would you care to argue more? Leviticus 16:4 (notice how it says the word "he" thats a man not a women) "and he shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shal he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on."

It truly saddens me that ladies of today choose to wear..well men's clothing, to put it bluntly, I cannot tell you that its right for you wear Pants/Trousers/Breeches. its not right for me to, nor is it right to judge you which in no means am I judging you.

my mission is to fill your minds with things to think about Lord help me. I once was a pants wearing lady. until I viewed a piece of word done by a fellow brother in Christ. it opened my eyes, and the conviction struck me right away.
