Touching Little Story.

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a

hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who

was suffering from a rare & serious disease.  Her only

chance of recovery appeared to be a blood

transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had

miraculously survived the same disease and had

developed the antibodies needed to combat the

illness.  The doctor explained the situation to her

little brother, and asked the little boy if he would

be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a

deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will
save

her."  As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed

next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing

the color returning to her cheek. Then his face

grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a

trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the

doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his

sister all of his blood in order to save her.

Please do share this with other ladies, and even your children.
Things to think upon.
What came across your mind?
Would you be willing to do that for a loved one?

Katie

My Days of Bible Reading, Include your Children in Bible Reading!

Meditations of His Love 90 Day Bible Blast.

I have to say I'm having a blast! especially from the encouragement from their facebook event Page!

You want to be inspired? Start reading, it's not too late to start! Oh no! You too can start!
We even have young children doing this bible blast! they do half the bible reading in the morning and the other half in the evening, so it's not too much. We all know kids can get easily bored!

This is something to do with little children as well, I believe it to be very important, the first 2-3 days you see so many "neat" things that happen, how God provided.
and of course children always need to be reminded of the creation.

So go and get involved, make a difference in your childs life.
it will go a long way.

Psalm 127:3

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

2 Timothy 3:15

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Please ladies, do not hesitate to teach your children the word of God, this is VERY important.

I pray that you keep your children in knowledge of the word of God.
I know when I was little I was always fascinated by what the bible said, and the stories in it, for little children you can always read them the story of Jonah, or Daniel and the Lions Den, or ShadrachMeshach and Abednego from the Fiery furnace.

Please also read from the King James Bible, there is no need to read from a other book, that has pictures, or other things, all that is needed is questions at the end of the story, did they understand it? did they have any questions?

Make sure if you think they will not understand something while your reading to explain, such as bigger words they may not know, explaining them will make them understand.

Blessings,
Katie

Out With the Old, In With the New.

I just wanted to do a post in between doing dishes. :-)

Out with the old, in with the new..
As we start our new year out, why not throw away those old habits? Such as getting behind on chores and or "To Do Lists" even not keeping New Years Resolutions.

In with the "New"
Keeping up with bible reading. How about 90 day challenge? Here!

Don't let chores and your "To Do List" get you down!

John 14: 16-18

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Today, I read Genesis 1-15.
I pray that if your reading too, that you can have encouragement brought straight to your heart. If reading 15 chapters a day all at once is too much for you. Try to read 5 to 10 chapters in the morning then the rest at night. I always think that reading in the night before bed isn't exactly a good idea. For one I think you can get the most out of bible reading when your fully awake.
Two I think prayer plays an important part on understanding scripture.

If you have anything you'd like to talk about personally feel free to send me an email as it would be no trouble to me. Just go to the "Contact" page and send me an email!

I Pray earnestly for you dear sister. That you get the most out of reading scripture, when you don't know something, or don't understand it. Go to the Lord and ask him.

Blessings,
Katie

Capture the Moment Photography. By Miss Katelyn S

A little bit about her blog/ Her goal: 1.) be a witness somehow for my viewers that are not Christians, 2.) I want to be in inspiration for other photographers, and for other Christians as well, if I possibly can, and 3.) I enjoy having my blog in a way as a journal. It's kind of like an escape to just write and a scrapbook of all my memories to look back over. But most of all, I want to show glory to God's name throughout my blog, and I want to be a light in Christ.
